Thailand Announces Launch Date for E-Visa Services for Bangladeshis
Thailand is set to introduce e-visa services for Bangladeshi travelers, aiming to simplify the travel process and make visa applications more efficient.
According to a notice from the Royal Thai Embassy, the e-visa service will be available to Bangladeshi citizens starting January 2, next year. Government passport holders will benefit even earlier, from December 19.
The notice states that general Bangladeshi citizens can apply for the e-visa starting January 2, while holders of government passports can access the service as early as December 19. The e-visa will be issued via email within 10 days of application.
Applicants must submit their applications through the official website at https://www.thaievisa.go.th by providing the required information.
Through this new system, applicants will receive their approved visas via email. The printed visa can then be presented at Thai immigration checkpoints.
The notice also mentions that application fees can be submitted to the embassy's bank account via https://www.combank.net.bd/thaievisa. After payment, applicants will need to include payment details in the system's payment summary for verification.
Due to the introduction of the e-visa service, the Thai Visa Center in Dhaka will permanently close on December 24, the embassy confirmed.
