Health Cards for July Uprising Injured Distributed Today

Today, the Chief Advisor of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, will personally hand over health cards to individuals injured during the July uprising.

On Tuesday (December 31), Senior Information Officer of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, shared this information in a press release.

He stated that on the first day of the year (January 1), health cards would be issued by the Ministry of Health for the injured fighters of the July uprising. On that day, at 5 PM, the Chief Advisor will hand over the health cards to the injured at the state guest house, Jamuna.

Earlier, on November 14, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Health's conference room in the Secretariat with six advisors and the injured individuals. Following the meeting, the Chief Advisor's Special Assistant, Dr. Sayedur Rahman, informed the media that a unique ID card would be issued to ensure free lifetime medical care for those injured during the July-August mass uprising. These individuals will receive lifelong free services from all government institutions and from private hospitals that have agreements with the government.

He further stated that dedicated hospital beds would be reserved for the injured at all government hospitals. Additionally, all hospitals in Dhaka will be integrated into a unified network.
