Dr Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of the interim government, has directed authorities to expedite the recruitment process for vacant positions across various government agencies and institutions. He has instructed the Cabinet Secretary to present a detailed report in the next Advisory Council meeting, outlining which institutions can begin immediate hiring.
Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday (March 13) at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road, Chief Advisor's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam shared this update.
He stated that during a meeting at the Chief Advisor's Office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, the Advisory Council discussed the urgent need to fill government vacancies, and the Chief Advisor emphasized the importance of swift recruitment.
The Press Secretary further highlighted that thousands of government positions remain unfilled, which could hinder the implementation of key initiatives. To ensure the smooth operation of government activities, the Chief Advisor has stressed the necessity of filling these vacancies without delay.
