Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said that no decision is yet to be taken to close schools or colleges of the country due to coronavirus. He informed this at a press conference at the secretariat on Monday.
The minister said, educational institutions will be in normal operation. Further decision will be taken depending on the situation.
He said, usually same teachers and students come to the educational institutions. Outsiders usually do not come there.
Urging all for cooperation in this special situation created due to coronavirus the minister said, we have to remember that rumors cannot be spread. We hope that all of you will take care. We need cooperation of all in this special moment. In our country everybody is sincere but there are some weaknesses. It is a densely populated country. One crore people work outside the country. The virus has spread in 102 countries.
He said, we will specially examine the people coming from Italy particularly from the areas the virus has spread. If it is needed we will take them in quarantine.
The minister said, we will take measures to distribute posters, banners and leaflets. Those will reach across the country within two or one day.
Zahid Maleque suggested for not holding the games, religious based or social programs. He said, if those are organized then that should be limited. Directions are given to the Deputy Commissioners in this regard.
