Tarique Rahman, the acting chairman of BNP, has shown his support for the people of the northern region in their efforts to protect the Teesta River.
He participated in the concluding ceremony of the two-day "Jago Bahe, Teesta Bachao" event, which took place on the banks of the Teesta River.
Rahman addressed the residents of the Teesta's neighbouring areas, including Lalmonirhat, Kurigram, Nilphamari, Rangpur, and Gaibandha districts, through a virtual platform.
The event was organized by the Teesta River Protection Movement and aimed to demand a fair share of the river's water and the immediate execution of the "Teesta Mega Project."
