Dr Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of the interim government, has stated that Bangladesh is now stronger than ever before.
Speaking at the Ekushey Padak-2025 award ceremony on Thursday (February 20) at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital, he emphasized the nation's progress and resilience.
"We are now more powerful, energetic, and creative than at any time in the past," said Dr Yunus.
He highlighted the ambition of the younger generation, stating, "Their dreams are bolder than any previous generation. They not only aspire to create a new Bangladesh but also possess the confidence to build a new world."
According to the Chief Adviser, today's youth are prepared to take on leadership roles in shaping the future. "Both young men and women are ready to free themselves from the constraints of a decaying, self-destructive civilization and build a new one based on their vision," he said.
Dr Yunus further elaborated that this new civilization would be built on principles of equality and sustainability.
"Its primary goal will be to ensure equal access to the world's resources for all, to provide every individual with the opportunity to dream and achieve and to structure human life in a way that does not threaten the planet's existence. The well-being of all living beings must be safeguarded at all costs," he concluded.
