Law Affairs and Parliamentary Advisor Asif Nazrul has announced that all pornographic websites in the country will be blocked starting today, Friday (14 March).
He made this statement on Thursday afternoon during a press conference at the Ministry of Law.
He explained, "The pornographic websites that were reopened after August 5 will be shut down from Friday. Since there is a connection between pornography and sexual violence, these sites are being taken down."
Efforts to block these websites have already begun, and authorities expect the process to be completed by Friday.
Additionally, Asif Nazrul stated that the autopsy of the child who was a victim of sexual assault in Damagura was completed yesterday. DNA samples have been collected, and the report is expected within the next five days. So far, 12 to 13 individuals have given statements under Section 161 in connection with the case.
