The Bangladesh government has transferred 43 police officers, including five Additional Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs), 18 Superintendents of Police (SPs), and 19 Additional Superintendents of Police, to various units.
The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Police-1 Branch) issued two separate transfer notifications.
According to a notification signed by Deputy Secretary Md Mahbubur Rahman on Monday (March 24), DMP Joint Commissioner Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman has been transferred as Director of RAB, while Rangpur Range Additional DIG Md Rezaul Haque Khan has been reassigned to Police Headquarters as an Additional DIG.
A subsequent notification issued on Tuesday (March 25), under the President's directive, stated that Md. Anisur Rahman, Additional DIG and Commander of the 12th APBn, has been transferred to the DMP; Highway Police Additional DIG Mosammat Farida Yasmin has also been moved to the DMP; APBn Headquarters Additional DIG Mohammad Hasan Bari Nur has been appointed as Commandant of Chattogram RRF; and the transfer order for Kh Faridul Islam from DMP to RAB has been revoked.
