Upon arrival in Chattogram, Dr Yunus will begin his official engagements by visiting the port. He will attend a meeting at the NCT-5 terminal inside the port premises. Later, he is expected to hold discussions with senior officials from the port and shipping sectors, as well as with representatives of port user associations and trade organisations.

His visit will also include a stop at the Chattogram Circuit House, where he will unveil the foundation stone for the much-anticipated Kalurghat Bridge over the Karnaphuli River. The bridge is a major infrastructure project that promises to ease connectivity for residents of Boalkhali, Patiya, and other parts of the river's southern bank.

Local sources note that Dr Yunus last visited his village home about 15 years ago. For the past five to six decades, his family has been residing in a house named 'Niribili' located in the Panchlaish area of Chattogram city.
