The meeting, presided over by Land Secretary ASM Saleh Ahmed, began on Tuesday afternoon in the conference room of the Ministry of Land. Also present at the meeting, representing the government, were the secretaries of the Ministry of Local Government and the Ministry of Housing and Public Works.

The 'Government Service (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025' introduces changes to the job security and promotion of government employees through the rearrangement of certain provisions. These changes have led to dissatisfaction among employees across various government departments, prompting them to launch a protest movement.
