The Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal, and Swechchasebak Dal, three youth wings of the BNP, are holding a "Rally for the Establishment of Youth Political Rights" today, Wednesday (May 28), in front of the BNP's central office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka. Organizers anticipate around 1.5 million young people will gather for the rally from Dhaka, Sylhet, Faridpur, and Mymensingh.
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is expected to deliver the keynote address at the rally, which is scheduled for this afternoon. The organizers announced details of the rally at a press conference at the BNP central office in Dhaka last Monday (May 26).
During the press conference, Swechchasebak Dal President S. M. Jillani stated, "We witnessed a youth gathering in Chattogram. In Khulna and Bogura, we achieved 100% of our target. We hope that the Dhaka rally will break all records, with 1.5 million young men and women joining."
These three BNP organizations announced a month-long program in May to engage young people. As per the program, they are holding seminars and rallies for two days each in four major divisions and cities, totaling eight days. Seminars and rallies have already been held in Chattogram, Khulna, and Bogura.
