Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said, militancy and terrorism will be sent into darkness from the country in the coming days. We have faced militancy and terrorism successfully in the current year. Bangladesh will be an enlightened country free from terrorism and militancy in the next new year.
He said these while answering to newsmen after the land documents hand over ceremony of Baitul Hasan Jame Mosque of Ambagan at Mogbazar in the capital on Friday.
The minister said, people are now united against militancy and terrorism following the call of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. People have understood that militancy and terrorism are parts of conspiracy against the country. People have perceived that militant conspiracy will be thrown out into darkness.
He said, we have trained our law enforcing agencies to counter militancy and terrorism. Detective force and force deployed for security are very active. Their manpower has been increased. They are active to perform their duties taking the risk of lives. We hope that the coming year will be more beautiful. Hope we can see an enlightened Bangladesh.
While talking over Khaleda Zia’s show down during court attendance for hearing the Home Minister said, people and city dwellers are realizing the matter. The matter was also highlighted in the media. MP-Ministers are not beyond the law. She may be a former Prime Minister but cannot create public sufferings. I hope that she and her party will refrain people from the sufferings.
Recently a court has directed to investigate the allegation of unclothing a woman under police custody against some people including OC of the police station in Mymensingh.
When asked the ministry would take any step in this regard or not he said, nobody is above the law. So far, we know that the woman was detained along with some illegal goods. Police seized the goods and arrested her. The complaint will be investigated. Legal action will be taken if the allegation is found valid.
