JCI Concludes 'Nourishing Minds: Empowering Parents' Project

JCI Dhaka Premier is proud to announce the successful conclusion of the 'Nourishing Minds: Empowering Parents' project, held at Moonflower Autism Foundation on Monday, 15th July 2024.

This significant event featured an enlightening session conducted by Prof. Dr. Nahid Mahjabin Morshed, Ex Chairman, Department of Psychiatry, BSMMU, and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, focusing on the mental health of parents of children with autism.

The session aimed to provide crucial support and guidance to parents, helping them navigate the challenges associated with raising children with autism. Prof. Dr. Nahid mahjabin expertise and compassionate approach were invaluable, offering practical advice and emotional support to those in attendance.

The event was honored by the presence of Md. Mofijul Islam, Executive Director of Moonflower Autism Foundation, and Syeda Shamima Akhter, Treasurer of the foundation. Additionally, JCI Dhaka Premier was represented by Immediate Past Local President 2024 Jannat Mukta and Local President 2024 Ashabus Safa, who shared the podium and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering community well-being.

This project was led by JCI Dhaka Premier Committee Chair, Ayman Nasim (COC), and Vice President Syed Ziaul Ahsan (Co-COC). Their dedication and leadership were instrumental in aligning the project with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demonstrating JCI Dhaka Premier's commitment to making a positive impact on the community.

'Our goal was to empower parents and provide them with the necessary tools and support to care for their children. We are grateful for the participation of Prof. Dr Nahid Mahjabin Morshed and the support of Moonflower Autism Foundation in making this event a success.'
