The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has announced that fish, meat, milk, and eggs will be sold at fair prices in 25 locations across Dhaka during Ramadan.
At a press briefing held at the ministry's conference room on Monday (February 17), the ministry's advisor, Farida Akhter, shared this information.
She stated that, to ensure steady supply and price control, mobile trucks will sell essential protein items—including broiler chicken, eggs, pasteurized milk, and beef—at affordable prices from the 1st to the 28th of Ramadan in various parts of the capital.
Fixed Prices:
- Broiler chicken (dressed): 250 BDT per kg
- Pasteurized milk: 80 BDT per liter
- Eggs: 114 BDT per dozen
- Beef: 650 BDT per kg

Additionally, Farida Akhter announced that from April 15 to June 11, catching, transporting, storing, marketing, and selling Hilsa will be strictly prohibited in all rivers and seas of Bangladesh to protect the breeding season of the fish.
