Ex-MP Afzal Hossain Arrested

Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Kishoreganj-5 (Bajitpur) and owner of Afzal Suj, Afzal Hossain, has been arrested by the police in Meherpur.

The arrest took place early Monday morning (March 24) during a police raid at the residence of Mamun Hossain in Taher Clinic Para, Meherpur. Mamun, an employee of Afzal Su Company and a resident of the same area, was also taken into custody for questioning.

Authorities confirmed that Afzal Hossain's location was tracked using digital technology.

Meherpur Sadar Police Station's Officer-in-Charge (OC), Mesbah Uddin, stated that a team from Kishoreganj District Police is en route to Meherpur. The team is expected to arrive by the afternoon, at which point Afzal Hossain will be handed over to them.
