A bus plunging into a roadside ditch killed three people and injured six others on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Pitua in Nabiganj upazila on Thursday, reports UNB.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Bimal Chandra Bhoumik, officer-in-charge of Highway Police Camp, said the accident took place in the area around 10:30am when a Habiganj-bound bus from Sylhet fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving three killed on the spot and six others injured.

The injured were taken to Sylhet Osmani Medical College hospital.
