Actor Tutul Chowdhury, promoted as Director of Bangladesh Bank

Khairul Alam Tutul Chowdhury, who is well known to television drama and theatre audiences as actor Tutul Chowdhury. He acted in more than five hundred single plays in his long career. Also worked in films. Along with acting, he also started working as a producer. This time he became the director of Bangladesh Bank. Earlier he was working as Additional Director (GM) of the bank. Tutul Chowdhury has been promoted to the position of director of Bangladesh Bank on Sunday (June 9).

Tutul Chowdhury joined Bangladesh Bank as Assistant Director in 1999. After that he has been working in the posts of Deputy Director, Joint Director, Additional Director for more than two years. Now he has got the fifth promotion and has become the director.

Tutul Chowdhury told the media, I joined the officer position. I was associated with late Abdullah Al Mamun Bhai's theatre since childhood. Even though I work in a bank, I am always passionate about acting. Acting with permission from office. I have to shoot after office time. I shoot without resting during the holidays. Both took considerable effort to maintain; still doing.

Tutul Chowdhury said, I love acting even though I work in a big position in the bank. My colleagues also encourage this place of my love. They said, you are the pride of our bank. We like this too. I also get motivated to work and feel a different kind of self-satisfaction in mind.

Incidentally, in the year 2022, Tutul Chowdhury was seen playing an important role in the movie 'Agamikal' directed by Anjan Aich. His other film 'Kanamachi' is awaiting release. Currently, he is acting in several serials including Bakulpur, Prabashi Paribar, Jadunagar. Apart from being a banker and actor, Tutul Chowdhury is also an education entrepreneur. He is the founder principal of Sahajpathya School.
