Israeli forces are intensifying their attacks daily, leading to an ever-growing number of casualties. No place remains safe for the residents of Gaza.

With ongoing air and ground offensives coupled with the obstruction of aid delivery, Gaza has become a veritable hell for its inhabitants.

In the latest 24-hour period, the Israeli Defense Forces have claimed the lives of another 71 Palestinians across the territory.

This brings the total number of Palestinians killed in the Israeli "genocide" in Gaza since October 2023 to over 52,300.

The Palestine Chronicle reported this information on Tuesday (April 29).

The Gaza Health Ministry states that since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, 52,314 people have been killed in the enclave, with over 60% being women and children.

Additionally, at least 117,792 people have been injured.

Separately, Turkey's state-run news agency Anadolu Agency, citing the Palestinian official news agency WAFA News, reported that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) carried out drone and airstrikes throughout Gaza on Monday (April 28).

These aerial attacks resulted in the deaths of 51 people, including women and children, in the Gaza Strip.

According to WAFA News, the first attack occurred on Monday morning in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, killing nine people.

Around the same time, the IAF also struck the Al-Sharif refugee camp near Khan Younis, resulting in the deaths of four people.

Furthermore, a total of 19 people were killed in Gaza City, the main city in the Gaza Strip. Among them, nine were residents of the central part of the city, three from southern Gaza City, and seven from northern Gaza City.

Another 10 people were killed in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, and nine more were killed in the Beit Lahia sub-district of northern Gaza.

The Israeli forces launched a devastating operation in Gaza on October 7, 2023, in response to an attack by Hamas.

After 15 months of military aggression, the Netanyahu administration agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza on January 19, following pressure from the United States and the international community.

For nearly two months, relative peace prevailed in Gaza; however, due to disagreements with Hamas regarding the withdrawal of troops from Gaza, Israel resumed its attacks in the third week of March.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, approximately 2,224 Palestinians have been killed and another 5,751 injured in the renewed Israeli attacks in Gaza since March 18.

This brutal Israeli offensive has shattered the ceasefire agreement that went into effect in January of this year.
