Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said that this year ‘Kha’ set question papers of MCQ part of 12 subjects out of 15 of SSC examinations were leaked. The information was available in the investigation committee report on question leak. But no examination is going to be cancelled.
After publishing the report at the secretariat on Thursday the Education Minister said, around five thousand students got the MCQ question papers before examinations. For this reason no examination will be cancelled.
Pointing out the investigation report he said, MCQ question papers were used to leak through closed group in social media 20 minutes before the examinations. There were 10 to 100 members in these groups and estimated 40 to 50 groups shared the question papers. The leaked question papers reached at nearly five thousand students in total.
The minister said, the investigation committee opined that it will not be the right decision to arrange reexamination for 20 lakh students due to five thousand students which will be a hardship for them.
The committee also showed logic for not cancelling the examinations as no question paper of creative part was leaked in the SSC examinations.
