Preparation is going on to take Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bangladesh Dental Society (BDS) admission tests for the session 2020-21 in the country. Health Minister Zahid Maleque has informed that the examinations may take place in April next.
He delivered the information at ‘Meet the Reporters’ program at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Monday. The minister said, total 1,100 seats for the government medical colleges will be increased. As a result more students will be able to get admitted in the government medical colleges.
According to sources, the medical admission test organizing committee has sent proposal to the health ministry to change the schedule of MBBS and BDS admission tests as the results of HSC and equivalent examinations are going to be published in a delayed process. According to the proposal permission has been sought to organize the MBBS test on April 2 and Dental test on April 30. The decision was taken to change the date of the admission tests at the meeting of admission test organizing committee.
