Awami League nominated mayoral candidate for Dhaka South City Corporation election Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said, all the canals and water bodies will be made free from the illegal grabbers to overcome the waterlogging problem in the city, if I am elected mayor.
He made this pledge while electioneering at Narinda area under Gandaria police station on Friday.
At that time Barrister Taposh said, there are a number of canals in old Dhaka that are grabbed by the illegal grabbers. Water Development Board could not make those canals free from them. Under beautiful Dhaka campaign with our own initiatives we will set up recreation centers after making those canals free from the illegal grabbers.
While electioneering he said, maintenance work will be done for the historical establishments of old Dhaka after coordination with other organizations on behalf of city corporation, so that inhabitants of the world can see those.
Leaders and activists of other associate bodies of Awami League including Awami League central leader Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya were present during the election campaign.
