FIFA orders Argentinian club to pay 2 crores to Jamal
Last year, Bangladesh captain Jamal Bhuiyan moved to Argentine club Sol de Mayo. He could not play for more than seven months despite signing a one and a half year contract. Even Jamal scored two goals in four matches.
However, Jamal left the club by breaking the one-sided contract due to not getting any salary. After that, the captain of the Bangladesh football team got a decision in his favor by applying to FIFA for dues.
A day ago, a major ruling came from the FIFA Football Tribunal. Judge Sol de Mayo of Brazilian Andre dos Santos Megale ordered to pay a total of 162 thousand 980 dollars to Jamal's bank account, which is equal to 1 crore 90 lakh 2 thousand 9 hundred and 80 Bangladeshi taka.
The Bangladesh captain is happy to get such a verdict from the FIFA tribunal. He told the media, 'I went to play Argentina's Soul da Mayato with a lot of hope. I was there for a long time. But they didn't give me any money. So the contract had to be terminated midway and complain to FIFA. Now I am very happy to get the verdict.'
Seven months salary is 12 thousand dollars per month with 5 percent interest. Which is in total 74 thousand 780 dollars. Sol de Mayo Club has been asked to pay this amount within the next 45 days.
