Hurricane Beryl is moving across the Atlantic Ocean towards the Caribbean islands of Barbados, Dominica, Grenada and Martinique, according to the report from the local meteorological office. This storm is gaining strength as it moves forward. Deadly winds and storms will hit the Windward Islands in the early hours of Monday (July 1) local time.

The US National Hurricane Center (NHC) said Hurricane Beryl is currently located in the Atlantic Ocean about 850 km east of Barbados. It could hit the Windward Islands by Monday morning. At that time 'Beryl' can turn into a dangerous storm.

According to the BBC report, cars were seen standing in a row at the gas stations in Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, because of fear of being hit by a terrible storm. Apart from this, a rush of people to buy food, water and other items was observed in supermarkets and grocery stores.

Incidentally, a hurricane is a regional cyclone. Cyclones formed in the North Atlantic Ocean, Central and Eastern North Pacific Ocean, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico are called hurricanes. The hurricane hit the United States, Mexico, Cuba and the Caribbean.
