In just a month, the ICC Champions Trophy will kick off on Pakistani soil. However, India's matches in this tournament will be held in the United Arab Emirates. Ahead of this ICC event, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a 15-member squad on Saturday (January 18).

Despite questions surrounding Rohit Sharma's captaincy after a disappointing series against Australia, India has placed its trust in the aggressive opener for the Champions Trophy. Shubman Gill will serve as his deputy.

Notably, two in-form Indian stars, Sanju Samson and pacer Mohammed Siraj, have been excluded from the squad. Returning to the team are Shreyas Iyer and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Additionally, Mohammed Shami, who was sidelined due to injury during the ODI World Cup, has also made a comeback.

Though pacer Jasprit Bumrah is included in the squad, his participation will depend on his fitness. Hardik Pandya remains in the squad as a pace-bowling all-rounder. Among the spinners, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja have been included.

Full India squad for Champions Trophy 2025: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill (vc), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), KL Rahul (wk), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh.
