Bangladesh has officially entered the era of satellite internet with the launch of Starlink services in the country, according to Fayez Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser.
He announced during a press briefing held on Tuesday (May 20) at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in Dhaka.
Fayez Ahmad Taiyeb stated that Starlink is initially rolling out two internet packages—Starlink Residence and Residence Lite. The monthly subscription fees are BDT 6,000 and BDT 4,200, respectively. Additionally, a one-time cost of BDT 47,000 will be required for setup and equipment.
Calling it a historic moment for Bangladesh, he emphasised that the service will provide unlimited data, marking a significant step forward in the country's digital connectivity.
