HoursLight to moderately heavy rainfall or thundershowers featuring temporary gusty winds are expected in several regions across Bangladesh during the next 24 hours starting from 9 am on Thursday, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

A morning bulletin from the weather office indicates that precipitation accompanied by squally winds will likely affect most areas within the Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, as well as numerous locations across the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions.

The forecast further highlights that isolated pockets in the Barishal and Chattogram divisions could experience heavy to very heavy downpours.

Daytime temperatures are projected to drop slightly, whereas nighttime temperatures across the country should hold relatively steady.

Over the previous day, the highest temperature was recorded in Sylhet at 35 degrees Celsius, while the lowest temperature dropped to 23.5 degrees Celsius in Narayanganj this morning.

In the 24-hour period ending at 6 am on Thursday, Cox's Bazar registered the country's highest rainfall level at 76 millimeters.

Sunset in Dhaka is scheduled for 6:46 pm today, with tomorrow's (Friday) sunrise set for 5:24 am.
