The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted rainfall across multiple regions of the nation within a 24-hour window starting from 9 on Friday.

A bulletin released by the weather bureau this morning indicated that light to moderate precipitation or thundershowers driven by brief gusty winds, is anticipated at numerous locations across the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, as well as at scattered spots within the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions.

Furthermore, the forecast noted that moderately heavy downpours could take place in isolated areas nationwide.

The preceding day's peak temperature reached 37.0 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, whereas the lowest morning reading touched 24.2 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.

Over the preceding 24-hour duration leading up to 6 am on Friday, the maximum recorded precipitation hit 47 millimeters in Nikli, situated within Kishoreganj district under the Dhaka division.

In the capital, sunset is scheduled for 6:21 pm Friday, with sunrise expected at 5:39 am Saturday.
