The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has projected rainfall across various parts of the country during the 24-hour period commencing at 9 am Friday.

According to a morning bulletin issued by the Met Office, "Light to moderately heavy rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal & Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions."

In addition, heavy to very heavy precipitation is expected to strike isolated areas within the Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions.

Both daytime and nighttime temperatures are anticipated to stay relatively unchanged throughout the country.

Data from the weather bureau reveals that Sayedpur recorded the nation's peak temperature on Thursday at 34.3 degrees Celsius, whereas Sylhet registered the lowest temperature this morning at 23.5 degrees Celsius.

During the 24 hours ending at 6:00 am today, Cox's Bazar logged the highest rainfall amount in Bangladesh, measuring 83 millimeters.

In the capital, sunset today is set for 6:46 pm, with sunrise expected tomorrow at 5:25 am.
