The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has projected scattered rainfall and thundershowers across various regions of the country over the 24-hour period that began on Saturday at 9 am.

According to the latest morning bulletin issued by the national weather agency, light to moderate rain or thundershowers featuring brief gusty winds are expected in numerous areas throughout the Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions.

Additionally, scattered precipitation is anticipated across isolated locations in the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions.

Meteorologists anticipate that both daytime and nighttime temperatures will stay relatively consistent nationwide during this forecast window.

Temperature records from Friday show the nation's peak mercury reading at 35.5 degrees Celsius in Kishoreganj's Nikli, whereas the lowest temperature recorded early today dropped to 23.9 degrees Celsius in Kumarkhali, Kushtia.

In terms of precipitation, Cox's Bazar registered the country's highest rainfall accumulation at 59 millimeters over the 24 hours leading up to 6:00 AM today.

For Dhaka residents, sunset is scheduled for 6:42 PM today, with sunrise expected on Sunday at 5:28 am.
