The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has projected light to moderate precipitation across various regions of the country over the next 24-hour period beginning at 9 am on Saturday.

According to a weather bulletin released by the Met office this morning, "Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna & Barishal divisions."

Weather forecasters further noted that moderately heavy to heavy rainfall could hit isolated areas throughout the nation during this period.

Meanwhile, both daytime and nighttime temperatures are expected to record a slight increase across the country.

On Friday, the highest temperature nationwide reached 35.5 degrees Celsius in Sylhet, whereas the lowest temperature recorded this morning was 24.2 degrees Celsius at Kumarkhali in Khulna division.

Over the 24-hour period leading up to 6 am today (Saturday), Bhola logged the maximum rainfall in the country at 67 millimeters.

In the capital, sunset today is scheduled for 6:37 pm, with sunrise tomorrow (Sunday) expected at 5:31 am.
