The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain across several regions of the country over the 24-hour period that began at 9 am on Friday.

According to an official morning bulletin released by the weather office, light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers featuring temporary gusty winds are expected to affect many areas within the Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions.

Additionally, a few locations across the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions are likely to experience similar weather conditions.

The department further cautioned that moderately heavy to heavy downpours could occur at isolated spots throughout the country.

Meteorologists anticipate that both daytime and nighttime temperatures will stay relatively steady across the nation.

On Thursday, Sylhet registered the country's peak temperature at 35.8 degrees Celsius, whereas Bandarban recorded the lowest temperature on Friday morning at 24.2 degrees Celsius.

Precipitation data collected over the 24 hours leading up to 6 am on Friday indicated that Hatiya received the highest volume of rainfall in the country, measuring 130 millimeters.

In the capital city of Dhaka, sunset is scheduled for 6:32 pm on Friday, with sunrise expected at 5:34 am on Saturday.
