The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a 24-hour weather forecast starting from 9 am on Tuesday, predicting rain and thunder showers in multiple regions across the nation.

According to a morning bulletin from the Met office, "Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh & Dhaka divisions."

In addition to widespread showers, meteorologists noted that moderately heavy to very heavy precipitation may fall in isolated areas across the country.

Meanwhile, both daytime and nighttime temperatures across Bangladesh are expected to remain nearly unchanged.

Data from the previous 24-hour period ending at 6 am on this day revealed that Teknaf recorded the nation's maximum rainfall, accumulating 183 millimeters.

Regarding temperature extremes, Rajarhat in the Rangpur division logged the highest reading on Monday at 33.5 degrees Celsius, whereas Sylhet registered the lowest temperature today at 23.9 degrees Celsius.

In Dhaka, sunset is scheduled for 6:29 pm on Tuesday, with sunrise expected at 5:35 am Wednesday.
