The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rainfall across various regions of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9 am on Thursday.

Issuing a morning weather bulletin, the state agency stated, "Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal & Chattogram divisions."

In addition to these showers, the forecast indicated that the Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions might experience moderately heavy to heavy downpours in specific areas.

Despite the expected wet weather, both day and night temperatures across the nation are anticipated to witness a slight increase.

Looking at recent climate data, Jashore registered the country's maximum temperature on Wednesday at 35.4 degrees Celsius.

In contrast, the lowest temperature recorded today was 24.4 degrees Celsius in the Sylhet region. Over the 24-hour period leading up to 6 am today, Rangamati experienced the highest volume of precipitation, accumulating 26 millimetres of rainfall.

For residents in the capital city of Dhaka, the sun is scheduled to set at 6:28 pm this evening and will rise at 5:36 am on Friday morning.
