The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers across various parts of the country in the 24 hours commencing from 9 am on Monday.

According to a weather bulletin issued this morning, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely to occur at many places across the Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions.

The Met Office added that moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may also occur at isolated places across the country.

Rain, Thundershowers Likely across Country over 24 Hours

Both day and night temperatures are expected to fall slightly throughout Bangladesh over the forecast period.

On Sunday, the country's highest temperature was recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius jointly in Ishurdi and Chuadanga. Monday's lowest temperature was recorded at 24.2 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.

In the 24 hours leading up to 6 am on Monday, Kutubdia recorded the nation's highest rainfall at 58 millimeters.

In Dhaka, the sun sets at 6:24 pm on Monday and rises at 5:37 am on Tuesday.
