Water level of Teesta river is flowing 19 cm above the danger level at Dalia point under Dimla upazila in Lalmonirhat district on Thursday.

BWDB Dalia Division executive engineer Asfa-ud-Daula Prince confirmed it.
He said, at 6 am at Dalia Point of Teesta Barrage, water flow was recorded 52.34 cm. Water Development Board (BWDB) authorities opened 44 sluice gates of Teesta Barrage to control the water flow, he added.

As a result, five upazila have been flooded, residents of five upazilas of this district have been alerted.
Earliar Saturday, water was flowing 13 cm above the level.
