The protesting students have announced a new program demanding the cancellation of quota in government jobs.

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) attacked on quota protesters at Dhaka University (DU) at 3:00pm on Monday (July 16).

Nahidul Islam, one of the coordinators of the anti-quota movement, announced the program at Doel Chattar of Dhaka University after 9:30 pm on Monday (July 15).

Nahid Islam said demonstrations and rallies will be held across the country on Tuesday demanding withdrawal of the Prime Minister's statement and cancellation of quota. If the quota is still not abolished, blockade programs will be announced across the country.

He said,'Today, the students were injured by outsiders in a planned way. We want an answer from the proctor why outsiders came and attacked us. Nothing can stop this movement. We strongly condemn the Prime Minister's statement on the quota issue. We want to say that this statement should be withdrawn immediately. The Prime Minister has to apologize to the student community.'
