Incessant rains and India's upstream waters have hit 11 districts of the country due to worst floods caused by incessant rains and India's upstream water.

The Meteorological Office said that the rainfall will reduce further in the next three days. On the other hand, there was no heavy rain in Tripura state and Cumilla, Brahmanbaria and Feni districts in the last 24 hours. In this, the water of the upstream rivers is reduced to the plain. As a result, the flood situation is improving.

This information was received from the Flood Forecasting and Warning Center of the Meteorological Department and Water Development Board on Saturday morning (August 24).

In the morning, the meteorologist of the Department of Meteorology Omar Farooq said, 'There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some places in Khulna, Barisal, and Chattogram divisions today and moderate to heavy rain in some places in other parts of the country.'

He said, mainly because of heavy rain, water coming down from upstream and sea tide water is higher than other times, these three reasons caused flood. During the continuous heavy rains, there was low pressure in the sea. Due to the full moon, the sea level was two to three feet higher than normal. Due to the high tide, flood is caused by these three factors overall.

The meteorologist said that due to the decrease in rainfall, the water has also started moving. It will decrease further in the next three days. From today there will be light and moderate rains, but on the 26th there will be heavy rains and the rainfall will decrease from the 27th. The flood situation will also improve.

According to the weather forecast, the level of rainfall has decreased compared to earlier. In this situation, after 27th, the amount of rainfall will decrease further. Sitakunda received the highest rainfall of 756 mm from last 16 to 22 August.
