Senior joint secretary general of BNP Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, Prime Minister’s resignation and nonpartisan government can be the guarantee of holding fair election.
He said this at a press conference at Nayapaltan in the capital on Thursday.
Rizvi said, Prime Minister will offer all out cooperation to Election Commission to arrange fair election- this type of comment is nothing but laughter. The meaning of offering cooperation means that –there is no doubt that she will offer cooperation for making tricks regarding the national election.
He said, around 150 leaders and activists were arrested throughout the country over the pre-declared hunger strike program demanding proper treatment and unconditional release of party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
Rizvi said, the government has taken the political situation into a furious stage through creating pressure by police. The law enforcement agencies with their inhuman cruelty have turned them to perform the role of aggression. Mass arrests in peaceful programs and shock of false cases have turned the lives of people into nightmare.
He said, we have heard that in the coming days the government with help of their party cadres will create sabotage activities and BNP leaders and activists will be held responsible for that. The sabotage activities such as cocktail burst and others will be done in a planned way. And BNP leaders and activists will be implicated. For this reason whether or not police forces were directed to cooperate the Awami League cadres.
Rizvi said, the government is plotting the violent outline so that people are misguided about the programs of opposition parties. They way they did sabotages during the movement of 2014 and 2015 and held BNP responsible for that.
