At the Raju Memorial Sculpture, students from Dhaka Medical College (DMC) staged a demonstration condemning violence against women and calling for the death penalty for rapists.

During the protest, female students wore red clothes on their faces and foreheads as a symbol of resistance. They held placards with slogans such as "Spread the news across Bengal, bury the rapists" and "My land, my mother—rapists have no place here." Their chants echoed the same demand for justice.

Protesters urged authorities to ensure swift investigations and strict punishments for perpetrators of sexual violence. In particular, they demanded the highest penalty for those responsible for the rape of an 8-year-old girl in Magura.

Similar protests were witnessed in the Tejgaon industrial area, where students of Southeast University organized a march against rape, terrorism, and the lack of justice.

Students from various private universities in Dhaka also participated in demonstrations. Meanwhile, protests and rallies were held at other universities across the country, reflecting a widespread call for justice and action against gender-based violence.
