Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said, Dr. Kamal Hossain is one of the reasons for BNP’s disaster in the parliament election. BNP should exercise its self-criticism at the moment. They should work after realization.
The minister said these while speaking to the newsmen at his office at the secretariat on the first day of new year on Tuesday.
Tofail Ahmed said, in the next five years Bangladesh will be take to the top stage of development under leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. This election is like the election of 1970. Next five years will be historical years, golden days. People have given their votes for the development.
Over oath taking of parliament members and formation of new government the Commerce Minister said, the process is that gazette for the MPs may be published today. Then oath will take place, leader of the house will be elected. Later the leader of the house will form the cabinet according to his/her choice.
About the reason for BNP-Jamaat-Oikyafront’s fiasco in the election Tofail Ahmed said, their candidates had no communication in the areas. They did not do electioneering accordingly. Moreover, nominations were sold in exchange of money. Besides, Oikyafront leader Dr. Kamal Hossain left his ideology. He shook hands with Jamaat. People did not like that.
