Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, participating election along with Jamaat was a mistake- by saying this Dr. Kamal Hossain has realized his mistake and for that thanks to him. Dr. Kamal will take his final decision if BNP does not leave Jamaat- I hope so.
He said these at the beginning of the view exchange meeting with ministry officers and department chiefs at the meeting room of information ministry at the secretariat on Sunday.
The minister said, when the country is progressing at that time we can see that one group is trying to hold back from behind so that the country cannot march forward.
Hasan Mahmud said, they have taken a wrong decision that they will not take the oath as the members of parliament. I hope that they will change their wrong decision and will take the oath to mobilize democracy, for advancement of democracy.
He said, the confession of Dr. Kamal Hossain proves that they are doing mistakes in every step. Through this confession I would think that they will leave Jamaat and if they (BNP) do not leave Jamaat then he will take his final decision.
In response to a question of journalist over remaining in opposition in the parliament by not getting 10 percent seats the Information Minister said, Jatiya Party has submitted letter to remain in opposition. It is not clearly mentioned in our constitution that it needs 10 percent seats to be opposition party rather it is mentioned in the constitution of India.
