Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has termed Dr. Kamal Hossain’s speech regarding the government at BNP’s rally at Nayapaltan as objectionable and street language.
He said this while inspecting some bridge construction and rehabilitation projects at Meghnaghat area under Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj district on Sunday.
Obaidul Quader said, the speech that Dr. Kamal delivered at BNP rally to kick out the government cannot be democratic language, it is street language. How a person like him can utter such language? He also remarked that Dr. Kamal has crossed the limit.
Criticizing Dr. Kamal he said, I am very sorry over a matter. We do politics and there is a language in politics. There is political language to attack the opponent, there is language of democracy. But they have crossed the limit. People of Bangladesh are hurt. How Dr. Kamal use street language in a public gathering? How he said to kick out the government from power? It is street language, not a language of democracy.
If there is any violence regarding the movement to release Khaleda Zia, Obaidul Quader gave a warning and said, law enforcement agencies will give proper response if any incident of arson or violence occurred in the name of movement.
