Hajj flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines will begin from July 4. Those will conclude on August 5. Besides, return hajj flights will begin from August 17.
Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) president Shahadat Hossain Taslim delivered the information at a press conference on Saturday.
HAAB organized the press conference to overcome the complexities created due to double air fare and severe seat crisis in the flights of umrah passengers and Middle East bound expatriates.
To avert cheating for going to hajj the HAAB president said, don’t pay to any middleman. Collect your receipt after paying to the agency directly for going to hajj or deposit the money to the agency account.
In the press conference request was made to Biman Bangladesh Airline for increasing Saudi Arabia bound flights from Dhaka. HAAB president Taslim urged civil aviation to increase number of flights of foreign airlines.
He said, now people can go to perform umrah hajj throughout the year and number of umrah passengers has increased than any other time in the past.
Shahadat Hossain said, hajj flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines will begin from July 4. This year 1 lakh 27 thousand 198 people will perform their hajj. Of them Biman will transport 63 thousand 599 passengers. For the first time 11 hajj flights will go to Madinah from Dhaka. The return flights will begin from August 17 and conclude on September 14.
From this year the immigration formalities for the hajj passengers will be completed from Dhaka. As a result they will need not to stand on the queue after going to Saudi Arabia.
