Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina hopes that every member of the Bangladesh Police will carry out their duties with the spirit and patriotism of the great liberation war.
On Monday, January 02, Sheikh Hasina said these things in a message given on the occasion of Police Week 2023, which started today, Tuesday, January 03. On this occasion, She extended her best wishes and congratulations to all the members of the Bangladesh Police.
The Prime Minister said, "I hope that all the members of the Bangladesh Police will fulfill their duties with the spirit and patriotism of the great liberation war. I believe that you will work tirelessly to make the Bangladesh Police the people's police expected by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib by carrying out the duties with honesty, devotion and humanity.
Sheikh Hasina said, "Since the formation of the government in 2009, we have created the required number of new posts in the organizational structure of the police and provided manpower in the last 14 years. Besides we made Industrial Police, Tourist Police, Naval Police, Police Bureau of Investigation, Anti-Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit, several ranges, Metropolitan Unit, Cyber Police Centre, Battalion, In-Service Training Centre, Police Station, Investigation Centre, Outpost and National Emergency. We have also formed 999 units in the service."
