The Chief Adviser has indicated that the national election could take place in December this year.
Speaking at a session hosted by CNN journalist Becky Anderson at the World Government Summit in Dubai on Thursday (February 13, 2025), Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser, stated that following the implementation of the July Charter, as recommended by the National Consensus Commission, the election might be held in December.
Earlier on Wednesday (February 12, 2025), the Chief Adviser arrived in Dubai for a two-day visit to attend the World Government Summit 2025. He is expected to return to the country on Friday (February 14, 2025).
