Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of the interim government, will meet with police officials today to discuss the law and order situation in the country.
The meeting will take place at the Chief Advisor's Tejgaon office on Monday, March 17th. Senior field-level police officers will be present at the meeting.
It is reported that the Chief Advisor will hold a special meeting with 127 police officers, where various guidelines will be given regarding the law and order situation and the current circumstances.
Earlier, on Sunday, March 16th, Abul Kalam Azad Majumdar, Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor, said at a press conference held at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka, "There is a kind of concern among the people about the law and order situation. In this situation, the Chief Advisor will meet with field-level police officers from all over the country tomorrow (March 17th)."
He further said, "This meeting will be held with police superintendents and officers of higher ranks.
127 top police officers, including various metropolitan commissioners, range DIGs, and crime team members, will attend the special meeting. The IGP of Police, Baharul Alam, will give a welcome address there."
