Bangladesh Meteorological Department said, Rain or storm may occur in some places of the four divisional regions in the country.
Warning signal has been issued for the river ports in these areas. Apart from this, the daytime temperature may increase slightly across the country.
On Sunday, May 21, the weather forecast for the country's inland river ports till 1:00 pm says, "Rain or thundershowers with gusty wind of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may occur over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet regions from the west or north-west. In these areas river ports have been asked to show warning signal number 1.
In a separate notification signed by meteorologist Tariqul Newaz Kabir says, "Till 6 pm today there will be temporary rain with gust or windy rain in some places of Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions and two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Chattogram and Barisal divisions. Thunderstorm may occur also."
Besides, mild heatwave is flowing over Rajshahi, Pabna, Chuadanga and Jessore districts and may continue.
