The month long Dhaka International Trade Fair has begun at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital. Friday was the first weekend after beginning of the 24th fair. On the day the presence of crowd seemed all the roads of the city ended at the ground of the fair.
The fair bound crowd began from the road in front of Bangabandhu International Conference Center. People from all ages were present there. Most of them came there with their family members. To pass the gate which was built resembling the metro rail, children need 20 taka and the adult need 30 taka ticket.
The pavilions are decorated with eye catching designs. There are also different packages with discount and gifts. The most crowds were seen at the stalls of home appliances, imitation ornaments and cosmetics.
In this year there are stalls of small organizations as well as stalls of multinational organizations. Some people are watching the new commodities available there and some are even buying the chosen items.
While chatting to Murad Parvez, he said to Rtv online that he came at the fair with family members. He used to visit other different location in the city but at the period of trade fair he always comes here with the family members on every weekend. He also said that he liked the main gate of the fair.
Susmita Chowdhury also came at the fair with family members. She told Rtv online that she came after having their lunch. She bought mostly kitchen items. She also felt good to visit the fair.
She also said, not only buying, there are some matters to watch. There are some facilities for entertainment for the children as well as some matters to learn, from where they can learn the history.
Most of the visitors said they have come to see the fair not for any specific plan to buy. They have come to bargain about the prices and to watch the new items.
The Dhaka International Trade Fair will conclude on February 8 which has begun on January 9. It will be open all week days from 10 am to 10 pm.
