Filmmaker Syed Salahuddin Zaki is no more. He breathed his last at 11:53 PM on Monday, September 18 at the United Hospital in Gulshan of the capital.

In 1980, Syed Salahuddin Zaki received the National Film Award for Best Screenplay for 'Ghuddi'. He was also known as a scriptwriter, actor, and author.
His health was deteriorated in the last evening at his Dhanmondi residence. Then he was quickly taken to the United Hospital in Gulshan. But the doctors said he had passed away.
