The controversial Coca-Cola ad is being heavily debated in the social media. Sharaf Ahmed Jiban, Shimul Sharma, Abdullah Al Sentu and others acted in it. Since the ad aired, there has been a storm of criticism about the actors.

Meanwhile, in addition to the nationwide Coca-Cola boycott, the general public has also threatened to boycott the advertisement performers. As a result, actor Shimul has apologized to the people through a post on social media.

He gave the status on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday (June 11) morning. Here is the actor's post for readers:

'I am Shimul Sharma though I am not yet an actor to introduce myself because I have not yet developed the perseverance and foresight needed to be an actor, I am just trying. So maybe my work has hurt my audience, my family and the people of the country.

If I am going to act in any work in the future, I will certainly consider our country's values, human rights, people's attitude with enough respect and then work.

I have just started the journey of my life, please forgive my mistakes and wish me the best for becoming a conscientious artist in the future. Thank you all.'

Earlier, Shimul said that there is a propaganda about Coca-Cola in Bangladesh. If a product is wrapped in a religious wrapper, nothing to be done. Everyone can make a statement from their own perspective. Basically the ad is built from that point of view.

However, Shimul deactivated his Facebook page after calling for a boycott of Coca-Cola's controversial ad. Later this morning, the actor published a post and apologized about the ad.

Incidentally, the popular drama 'Bachelor Point' produced by Kajal Arefin Ome. Shimul Sharma got immense popularity among the audience by playing a character named 'Shimul of Noakhali'.
